Re: Scrip twriting
there's this must-one. is not about script writing but how to make a film...you might know André Bazin the french critique and his book is What is Cinema? talks about the script and other narrative resources, since the birth of cinema to italian realism. the basis for contemporary cinema. your ain't gonna find any technic but a theoric way to write a cinematic story.

Not sure I understand what you mean, but screenplays are extremely technical/formulaic e.g. many writers use programs like Final Draft to create them:
1. Set-up - introduction of the dramatic premise
2. Confrontation - the long middle part
3. Resolution - the climactic end
Look at all mainstream movies and you will see this formula e.g. "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" (2001)
1. Village party in Middle-Earth introduces characters
2. Frodo discovers the true nature of the ring
3. The journey to Mount Doom
4. As this is a three-parter the journey continues until the ring and Gollum fall into Mount Doom, Aragorn is crowned and they all go home.
The bible is "Screenplay - the foundations of screenwriting" by Syd Field ISBN: 0-385-33903-8
Highly recommended.
